EAB - Emerald Ash Borer - What You Need To Know...

Approximately ten years ago, an invasive pest known as the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was discovered in Kane County, Illinois.  A native of China, the insect has since spread throughout the Chicago area, with devastating results.

It is a certainty that 2013 will see a large number of trees die as a result of the feeding of the EAB larvae.  This situation will necessitate the removal and replacement of the affected trees, and it is our hope to assist in this process.

While the EAB invasion is unpleasant, inconvenient, and potentially expensive, we at GRO Horticultural Enterprises Inc. hope to make the affected property owners’ experience as painless as possible.

We encourage you to contact our office and visit our website (grohort.com), should you have specific questions about the insect, or about the various options for tree replacement.  We look forward to hearing from you and working with you as the season unfolds.
